6 QUESTIONS THAT UNCOVER YOUR BRILLIANCE

I talk to my clients and students all the time about their unique brilliance. At first people can find the idea of being uniquely brilliant intimidating. We are often taught that it's not OK to claim our greatness. Quite frankly, that just isn't true. It's a myth perpetuated by those who are so afraid to claim their own greatness they don't want anyone else to do it either. That's not what I want for you and the world. I can promise you that when you connect with your own deep wisdom you will never want to go back to playing small in any way. You truly do have a uniquely brilliant message that will resonate with your ideal clients and make doing business fun and effortless. That message comes from your heart and supports and infuses all of your professional messages. It's reflected in your brand, how you work, who you work with and everything about what you stand for. This is what connects you to the people you will serve best and the higher income that you wa

YOUR SUCCESS WILL INSPIRE OTHERS

Get Inspired From Others Success We just had some incredible examples of massive success in our company this month....income records being shattered and the bar of success being raised. This is such an pivotal moment of celebration for everyone in the company....not just the individuals achieving the result. It provides evidence to other people what is possible. Evidence - when one person raises the bar, they demonstrate by their example what is possible. We see this in business, sports, all walks of life....people achieving what no one before them had. People raising the bar, pushing the limits, thinking outside of the box of what is possible, and then going after it, taking action and achieving it. Why is this important? Because there are so many different examples of greatness, and when one person does the so called "impossible", it brings a new awareness to the observers.....the observers then have new hope of what is possible for them, and once again, the butterfly

FIND THE GREATNESS WITHIN YOURSELF

You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself. - Galileo I am a competitive person and to me, that’s a good thing. Staying competitive is the opposite of being complacent. Complacency is the ultimate enemy of success. In fact, when people ask me how to achieve great success, I usually explain that the most important first step is to get out of their comfort zone, which is a bad place to be. If you are happy in your comfort zone, you need to move out of it. How else can you find the greatness that lies within you? That means confronting your weaknesses and not just admiring your own strengths. Doing that means getting your ego out of the picture and asking questions of people who know more than you do about how to achieve success. In short, it means self-examination and the hunger to learn new things. I don’t just direct this kind of thinking toward others and what I think they should do with their lives. I direct it toward myself too. I compete v

5 Ways to Know if You're a Good Spouse

We get married for all kinds of reasons. Love. Security. Children. Fear. Loneliness. We might take that walk down the aisle as early as high school graduation or as late as in the fall or winter seasons of our lives. Maybe we chose our high school sweetheart, our best friend, a coworker, someone we met in Sunday School, or even a person from our past who becomes our future. Some us had great examples of solid marriages to look to in our own parents and mentors. Others of us saw what we didn’t want to become and vowed to do marriage differently. But no matter why, when, or with whom we take the plunge, most of us are nowhere close to understanding what it really means to tie that lifetime knot. Out of a desperate need to belong somewhere and to someone, a few months after I turned 21, I married my high school sweetheart. Still in college, reeling from my parent’s nasty divorce, I was clueless about life, relationships, and what it took to sustain a marriage. I didn’t know who I

Forgiveness is Not for Them – It's for YOU

Believe it or not, there’s a powerful force out there that is keeping you from experiencing uninhibited love. You see, one of the greatest barriers to trust, and to the receiving and experiencing of love, is a lack of forgiveness in some area of your life. The unwillingness to forgive keeps us from moving forward because it causes us to fix our attention on the past. I knew a young woman who was caught in the trap of unforgiveness. She had been dating the “love of her life” for one year and a half. Things seemed to be moving forward as planned. Talk of engagement and marriage was right around the corner. She felt certain that she was walking in God’s plan for her life and was feeling excited about the future ahead. And then one day, everything changed. Her boyfriend began acting differently toward her. She felt the distance between them increasing with each passing day. Soon after, with little reason and no clear answers, he told her that he was ready to break up. She had been co

Can You Ever Forgive Yourself?

Okay, you did it. You spent half the month's food budget on a new coat, didn't get to your son's soccer match before the second half, put your mom in a nursing home, and, when the cat's yowling got on your nerves, you—you awful person!—let him outside where he was promptly hit by a car. Yikes! It's tough to forgive yourself. Your family and friends would never forgive you if they knew half of what you do. Unfortunately, you know the whole. And the sheer awfulness of it rocks you with guilt and sinks you with shame. God may forgive you. But how on earth are you ever going to forgive yourself? Probably one of the few people who can tell you is psychologist Fred Luskin, PhD, director of the Stanford University Forgiveness Project. Dr. Luskin has been conducting studies and workshops on forgiveness up and down the California coast for years. From Berkeley to Big Sur, he's worked with men who've cheated on their wives, wives who've cheated on their husban

Being Responsible Shows Character

A person who does as promised can be considered as reliable. Reliability is an admirable characteristic. People don't like to deal with those who are unreliable. They'd rather give their business and rewards to the person they can count on. Also, the reliable person feels good knowing that he or she is trusted. Questions you may have are: What does it mean to be responsible? What is being irresponsible? How does being responsible pay? This write-up will answer those questions. Being responsible A responsible person is one who is able to act without guidance or supervision, because he or she is accountable and answerable for his or her behavior. Such a person can be trusted or depended upon to do things on his or her own. Such a person will follow though on obligations. Being a responsible person means you have good character. Example of submarine accident In March 2001, a U.S. Navy submarine accidentally rammed a Japanese boat, resulting in the death of 9 passe

How You Can Make More Money And Increase Your Revenue

Diversifying your income stream as the way to make more money is old advice, but in tough economic times, it's advice well worth taking. The key to successfully increasing your business income is to be sure the cost of diversifying isn't making your profits negligible or nonexistent. All of the ideas below are ways you can bring in more revenue for your business without spending a lot of money to do it. How to Make More Money 1) Rent out part of your business premises. If you own or lease physical business premises, do you really need all of your current space? If not, you can make more money by renting out some of your space to another business. There are a lot of small businesses that only need a corner or a kiosk. Or maybe you have an unused room that another business could use as office space. And you can further increase the revenue from your rental space if you’re able to throw in some add-ins, such as shared secretarial services or computer workstations. You ca

5 Keys to Self-Discipline – Resist Temptations Like a Monk

If you want to make any kind of changes in your life, it’s self-discipline that will either help you reach your goal (when you have a lot of self-discipline) or send you back to square one (in case you have little of it). How do you build self-discipline and resist temptations in order to achieve your long-term goals? In this blog post, I’ll share with you the 5 keys to self-discipline. 1. Powerful Motivation – Your “Why” No matter how much self-discipline you possess, you can’t force yourself to keep doing something you hate (I know, I’m a college dropout). Consequently, if you don’t have a good, empowering reason why you want to do something, you won’t succeed. Self-discipline is all about choosing your long-term goals over your temptations. If your long-term goals won’t bring a much bigger reward than the craving you feel now, guess what… Your chances of resisting a temptation are zero. Zilch. Nada. It doesn’t mean that having a powerful “why” alone will solve all your pro

How to Build Self-Discipline – The 6 Key Elements

Do you often find yourself procrastinating? Perhaps doing things that you know you shouldn’t be doing? Do you find it hard to stay focused and perform at your peak? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may need to build self-discipline. Self-discipline is the ability to do what you think you should be doing rather than doing something based on how you feel. For example, you may have an exam taking place tomorrow morning and your mind is telling you that you need to be studying and revising, however you feel exhausted, tired and you want to crash in front of the television. Self-discipline is closely related to the concept of delayed gratification. By delaying the ‘feel good’ factor now, you can experience an even bigger ‘feel great’ factor at a later point in time. For example, if you did decide to study the night before your exam instead of crashing in front of the television, you may have been more confident in your exam, less anxious and feeling more rel

What Marriage Will Cost You?

Did you ever think someone could show you love through a bologna sandwich? I didn’t think so either. Until I found out that my then-boyfriend-now-husband (a poor, broke, medical school student at the time)…spent close to two months eating bologna sandwiches everyday, in order to cut down his grocery budget to #1000/week….just so he could save up enough money to buy me an engagement ring. The truth is...marriage will cost you. When you think of the cost of marriage, what comes to mind? According to recent statistics, the average couple today spends #200,000 on a wedding. That’s a lot of money, but it’s nothing compared to the REAL cost of marriage. Because like it or not, marriage will cost you MORE. It will cost you something great. It will cost you a price much larger than the money you spend on a ring or a wedding or a honeymoon…it will cost you yourself. I heard a married man on TV say (regarding whether or not he was going to stay in his own marriage), “I shouldn’t

How to Stop Worrying: 9 Simple Habits

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.” Leo Buscaglia “Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow.” Swedish Proverb Worry. It starts with a nagging thought. That creates another few thoughts. And before you know it there is a storm brewing in your mind, making you think irrationally and zapping your mental and physical energy. Your old friend is back, creating chaos within. I am no stranger to it either and to the powerful negative effects it can have on life and the happiness in it. But in the last decade I have found several habits that have helped me to greatly decrease my worrying and to more easily handle such thoughts when they pop up. 1. Most of things you worry about have never happened. I love this quote by Winston Churchill: “When I look back on all these worries, I remember the story of the old man who said on his deathbed that he had had a lot of trouble in his life, most of which had never happened.” I h

What You Need to Live a Life of Purpose

TruthOrator's Daily Quotes and Mind Refreshment Tips What You Need to Live a Life of Purpose “The purpose of life is a life of purpose.” ~Robin Sharma I can remember the feelings so vividly—the emptiness, the yearning, the confusion, the lacking, and the depression. They all merged together, and they always seemed to present themselves at the worst possible times. The simplest things, like getting out of bed in the morning, felt so heavy. The best joys in life, like being with family and creating new connections, felt unsatisfying. Things were heavy, hard, and almost unbearable. I didn’t understand what was creating these feelings, or what I needed to do to change them. It sounds like such a cliché to say that one day something happened that changed my life forever, but it did: Everything transformed for me when I decided to focus on creating purpose in my life. Life is a whole different experience when you understand what guides you. Let me shift gears with a quest
